But honestly, when given the opportunity to explore these systems, we're discovering that most of it isn't actually that complicated.

Complicated is not the same thing as complex.

A lot of what feels confusing simply hasn't been explained in a way that makes sense.

When you understand how something works, it stops feeling quite so intimidating. You start seeing where your choices fit into the bigger picture. You ask better questions. You realize that you have more agency than you might have thought.

That process of demystifying the unknown is what we’re interested in. 

Not the Authority is a podcast for curious people who aren't afraid to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and follow an interesting idea down a rabbit hole.

Each episode, we sit down with builders, creators, thinkers, problem-solvers, and occasionally people who make us rethink everything we thought we knew. Together, we explore the forces shaping our world, the real people working to improve them, and the possibilities hiding just beyond what we've accepted as "the way things are."

We're definitely not here because we have all the answers.

We’re not here to reinforce divisive paradigms and echo-chambers that keep us all feeling small in a world that feels too big to comprehend.

In short, we are Not the Authority. And we aren’t interested in keeping people dependent on experts, institutions, or influencers to make sense of the world around them.
